Create Animated GIFs with Photopea

Step 1: Import Your Images or Video

Open Photopea and import the images or video you want to use for your GIF. You can drag and drop the files into Photopea or use the File > Open menu.

Step 2: Create Layers for Each Frame

Click on the "Layer" menu and select "New" > "Layer". This will create a new layer for each frame of your GIF. You can then drag and drop your images or video frames into the corresponding layers.

Step 3: Set the Frame Duration

In the "Animation" panel (Window > Animation), click on the "Timeline" tab. Here, you can adjust the duration of each frame. The default duration is 100 milliseconds, but you can change this to whatever you like.

Step 4: Optimize Your GIF

Once you have created your GIF, you can optimize it to reduce its file size. In the "Animation" panel, click on the "Save for Web" button. This will open a dialog box where you can adjust the quality and file size of your GIF.

Step 5: Save and Share Your GIF

Once you are satisfied with your GIF, click on the "Save" button. You can then share your GIF on your website, blog, or social media.
